The most expensive item that you carry with you when going portable is probably your radio. Protect that investment with our Powerpole Easy-Fit Battery Kit.
"I am amazed at how many portable operators connect their equipment up directly to a battery using crocodile clips. This is a recipe for disaster as many radios do not have reverse polarity protection. When you are tired, wet and cold, making a mistake connecting a battery is easy to do. So easy indeed that many SOTA activators have done just that - and written-off their expensive radios. I don't want to have that happen to anyone, hence this Easy-Fit kit. No excuses!" Richard G3CWI
Our Easy-Fit kit protects your equipment in two ways:
Our Easy Fit Kit consits of:
The kit is easy to fit (hence the name). Five minutes with wire strippers and a screwdriver and you will be able to relax knowing that your radio and battery are properly protected.
The Easy-Fit kit is equally as useful in the shack. Once you start using PowerPole connectors you will never go back to crocodile clips. This is a very cheap and effective way to protect your investment in radio equipment!
We recommend the 5 Amp fuse for FT-817 type radios and all radios up to 15 Watts o/p. For higher power radios we recommend the 25 Amp fuse. The Easy-Fit kit is perfect for all battery types.

This kit is ideal for KX3, FT817 etc for easy fast and accurate connections while /P. I can assure you it is much easier to buy these than to make them yourself.
Thanks for making these available.

Have spare power pole connectors to hand for instant use. Especially useful fuse leads for small and high currents.

Great bits of kit that has made life so much easier connecting everything together. No more fiddly connections when hands are cold and stiff and the eyes can't quite see if the connection is really good enough. I had read reviews about how good they were and now I know for myself!
