HF Antenna Traps 14 MHz - pricing is for one trap, built, tested and ready for use

If you have not got the time to build our traps, this is a great way to get all of the benefits with none of the hassle. Our popular traps built and ready to go. These traps have been constructed, tested and aligned by our technicians here at SOTABEAMS.

Traps are supplied bare - they will need to be waterproofed once you attach them to your antenna. The traps are sold individually - great for end-fed half-wave users!

These traps are tuned to 14 MHz.

We are unable to provide custom frequencies ourselves at this time, but we do offer kits which you can build yourself to your preferred frequency.

Pico Traps Kit (pair) - 10W

HF Antenna Traps Kit (pair) - 20W or 100W

*** Trap builder for hire in the UK: Stephen Cordner (M0HET) is willing to build traps to your preferred frequency. Please contact him directly for details and costs - click here. ***

Haven't installed in 20-40m dipole yet, but they are surprisingly small. Just need to get outside!

So small and sweet! Haven't fitted them into my antenna yet, so can't speak on performance but I can't fault the design

    80/40 trap dipole

Posted by Herb Perkins on 30th Sep 2016

I made up a 40/20 meter trap dipole using these traps and had a delightful time in the Colorado Mountains with my FT-817. I was at about 9000 feet elevation using a 60 foot pine tree to support one end of a sloping dipole that was pointed east. One CQ on 20 meters using JT-65 started a very active afternoon of fun. I had PSK reporter up and could easily see that from Colorado I was being heard by many Easter United States stations and quite a number in Europe. All on 5 watts. Not much from the west but before the sun went down I had worked numerous stations in Europe and about 25 in the Eastern half of the USA. I was very well satisfied and would unconditionally recommend the traps.

    Easy Trap dipole

Easy way to get active with a trap dipole. Ready made traps that fit inside a 20mm plastic tube . Perfect for all hams. I used the 10Mc trap and is pleased with it. Sotabeams are the perfect place to order bit and pices for all hams. 73 de LA1KHA Kjell
