Comapct, Light, and Sturdy (Except Topmost Piece)

Posted by Jody on 26th Apr 2016

Bought this to use at the center of the SOTABeams Two Band (20-40m) Dipole. Topmost piece was too lightweight and the loop on the top of that piece quickly broke. Took that topmost piece, reversed it, shoved it fully down into the next piece, drilled a small hole at the top of that new reinforced top piece, and then added my own small wire loop there. Having done that, it works like a charm in a leaning, single guyed, position.

    Perfect for overseas trips

    Posted by Gareth - M5KVK on 17th Jun 2015

I bought this as an addition to my portable station specifcally for overseas trips. I needed a telescopic pole tharwould fit in my hold luggage, and this fitted the bill. I used it to activate SV/AG-028 the day before yesterday and it strapped to my small backpack nicely. No waving about and catching on low branches, and very light. Highly recommended.

    Mini Pole

Posted by John G4TQE on 15th May 2015

I use this pole to hang my 2m Slim Jim. First time out I broke the second section down by hanging all the weight of the antenna on it. In the Shetlands I lost the insert at the top. However, it is still usable. Saying that I would certainly buy another one. Great piece of kit.

Perfect compromise between height and portability. Fits inside my 25l back pack yet extends long enough for an antenna support. Highly recommended!

    Mini Pole

Posted by Unknown on 12th Jun 2013

I am very satisfied with the Mini Pole, it's just 20 inches long very light and extends to just over 13 feet long so that makes it very useful for wire ground plane verticals. I did get the accessory bit's that go with it and they are very useful for making all sorts off attachments. Well worth the money... Tony G7OEM

Very good quality pole that is easy and quick to erect - particularly if you use the mini pole stake kit. A versatile support that is highly recommended.
