Inductance, Capacitance and Resistance LCR Meter

***OFFER*** Save £15 on the DCA55 Semiconductor Analyser when purchased with an LCR45

Offer not available retrospectively

This is our most used piece of test-gear here in the SOTABEAMS factory. It's a versatile instrument that never lets us down!

A great handheld LCR analyser that can measure the value of your passive component (inductor, capacitor or resistor) and also measure the detailed impedance in a number of modes. The LCR45 offers enhanced measurement resolution (better than 0.1 uH!) whilst also giving you continuous fluid measurements. Additionally, the test frequencies of DC, 1 kHz, 15 kHz and 200 kHz can be set to automatic or manual modes. Supplied with removable gold plated hook probes, battery and user guide. Compatible with standard 2mm test connectors. Not designed for in-circuit use.

Key Features

  • Automatic or manual component type selection: Inductor, Capacitor or Resistor.
  • Automatic or manual test frequency selection: DC, 1 kHz, 15 kHz and 200 kHz.
  • Inductance from 0.1 uH to 10 H.
  • Capacitance from 0.1 pF to 10,000 uF.
  • Resistance from 0.1 Ohm to 2 MOhm.
  • Inductance measurement also shows DC winding resistance.
  • Display of "Component type and values", "Complex Impedance", "Magnitude/Phase" and "Admittance".
  • Test frequency displayed for all measurements.
  • Typical accuracy of 1.5% for inductors and capacitors (see spec table for details).
  • Typical accuracy of 1% for resistors.
  • Test lead complete with gold plated 2 mm plugs and sockets.
  • Supplied with removable gold plated hook probes.

    LCR45

Posted by Werner on 18th Mar 2018

Haven't done a ton of things with it yet but appears to be exactly what I need in the shack. I am getting to the point of age where vision isn't the best so to be able to verify values and have the piece of mind that parts are what they say they are is very comforting.
Works just as good as portrayed. Only question I have is about calibration schedule. Hopefully won't be an issue for me.

[Admin: Thank you for your review. In a professional lab instruments are calibrated annually. This is not necessary is amateur radio use. The calibration will not change significantly over time.]

LCR45 - Good value for the buck

Posted by Göran Gustafsson / SM0CFW on 15th Feb 2018

I recently built the low pass filters for WSPRLite and LCR45 was a great help to check that the inductance in the toroids was correct. In addition, it is very helpful to quickly check the value of small capacitors and resistors where the specified value sometimes can be difficult to read.
