    24mm Guying Ring

Posted by Matthew Pullan on 17th Apr 2019

Very useful guying rings; I own a couple at all sizes. I find they work fine with only 3 guy lines attached. The fourth hole can take a SOTA flag. I always order a few spare as I inevitable break things stumbling round on windy summits.

    Unfortunately it broke

Posted by Chris on 19th Jul 2015

Hi, Quality seemed good but unfortunately it broke while on holiday and had to tie the guys to the pole. I was using a 10m pole that suspended a 80m dipole. There was some wind but not excessive I suspect the perspex needs to be a bit thicker. [Admin - drop me an e-mail Chris and I will happily post you a couple of replacements. We will always replace any product that breaks - [provided it has not been misused]. 73 Richard G3CWI

    Works as expected

These laser cut guying supports are excellent for the telescopic poles. Just make sure you know at which section they will end up -- and take a reel of guy chord to tie them off at the correct length/spread.

    Quality product

This laser cut guy ring removes the problem associated with the original SOTApole guying system which used a section of tube with the guy ropes tied onto it. Turning the mast caused them to fray. With this type of guy ring, that does not happen. This size fits one of my smaller poles; the 31mm size fits to normal SOTApole.
