As soon as the WSPRlite Classic was launched, people asked us for more bands. The Classic has a hardware limitation on the maximum frequency. The Flexi required significant additional development work on the hardware and firmware to add five great new bands:
17m, 15m, 12m, 10m and 6m*.
Interference Avoidance Algorithm
WSPR continues to increase in popularity. Because of this, the chance of co-channel interference has risen. The WSPRlite Flexi's Interference Avoidance Algorithm uses statistical data on the frequency distribution of WSPR transmitters to helps it to pick frequencies that are more likely to be clear. Other improvements in the Flexi means that it uses a much higher proportion of the available WSPR spectrum - again helping to reduce the chances of interference to and from other WSPR users.
User defined transmit frequency
A powerful feature of all WSPRlites is their ability to run synchronised with other WSPRlites. By analysing synchronous data the measurement performance is vastly improved compared to other comparison methods as all the data is from simultaneous transmissions. To facilitate synchronous use, Flexi users can manually enter the frequency that they wish to use for each unit. This facility is only available with the Flexi.
Increased Maximum Run-time**
WSPRlite Flexis are all soak tested in our factory to pre-age the TXCOs. They are then individually adjusted against a Rubidium standard. With these more accurate oscillators we have been able to increase the run time to 45 days. This facility is only available with the Flexi.
Low Pass Filters
The WSPRlite Flexi has no internal filtering and thus the user will need to add filtering before use. We are working on a range of options and the first is our three-band lowpass filter PCB. This is sold as a bare board allowing you to implement your own filters. We offer a range of component kits for various bands. We will be introducing some more low pass filter options early next year.

One of the most useful gadgets I've purchased and fascinating if you are into QRP[P] as you can turn the power way down and amaze yourself with reception reports from far and wide.
I like it, its such a great propagation test tool. I'd like an on/off switch to save unplugging it every time i change band, thats all ;)
The WSPRLite Flexi transmitter was easy to configure and put into service once I got the drivers loaded and WSPRNet software installed on my computer.
Helpful stall and a quick response
Very nice compact piece to send beacons into the world on all the hf bands incusief 6 meters. Ideal for try out antennas or propagation tests
Everything was easy at the beginning. I'd appreciate to find the driver/app webpage more easily. This device is incredible to test and understand the propagation. I was happy to be heard by many active receivers on all bands what is obviously necessary to be powerfull. I don't use band filter yet and everything is OK so far.
A great overall system for evaluating propagation and comparing antenna designs. The port of the setup software to the latest MacOS (Mojave) system also works a treat (see Facebook group).
The combination of the WSPRlite Flexi and Dxplorer works to enable you to evaluate your antenna systems while having lots of fun pushing the DX envelope with up to a whopping 200 mw of power! I've been spotted by stations up to 13,500 km from my NY, USA QTH. That's with a long wire and 200 mw. I can set it to transmit automatically for days and then DXplorer provides me with a list of spots in both spreadsheet and world map formats.
The Flexi is an impressive little device. I was able to install the software and get the unit programmed in about ten minutes. I connected it to my dipole in a pine tree, not expecting much DX as the power is so low and the antenna is in a valley. Within a few hours I was getting reports from Europe, all over the US and Antarctica on 40. To say that I was thrilled is an understatement. Since that time I have used two of the units on the same band to compare antennas (height wins) and on different bands to compare propagation (two antennas). I am now running the Flexi at minimum power of 5 mW to see just how far it can be heard. My record so far is 2300 km, and this from a dipole in a valley. That equates to more than 400,000 km per watt. As I get used to this little magic box, the ideas are coming fast and furious. Putting it on odd bands, like 630 and 6. Using it mobile with random wires, tweaking my antenna to maximize the distance per watt. I intend to take it to Florida where we have a restriction on antennas and simply hide it along with a wire and battery in a palm tree. Then watch how far it can go. An amazing and simple to use magic box.
