Michael G0POT gives this thoughts on the WSPRlite Flexi
Wondering how well your antenna works? WSPRlite with DXplorer will tell you...
The WSPRlite is a special test transmitter that sends a signal to a Worldwide network of receiving stations. When used with our web-based DXplorer system, it's a powerful new way to evaluate antenna performance. Going way beyond antenna modelling or antenna analyzers, this unique system allows you to see how your antenna is performing in its actual location and in real-time! This type of analysis has never been possible before.
Uses:
...all in a way that has never been possible before!
WSPRlite Flexi and Classic compared at a glance:
As soon as the WSPRlite Classic was launched, people asked us for more bands. The Classic has a hardware limitation on the maximum frequency. The Flexi required significant additional development work on the hardware and firmware to add five great new bands:
17m, 15m, 12m, 10m and 6m*.
WSPR continues to increase in popularity. Because of this, the chance of co-channel interference has risen. The WSPRlite Flexi's Interference Avoidance Algorithm uses statistical data on the frequency distribution of WSPR transmitters to helps it to pick frequencies that are more likely to be clear. Other improvements in the Flexi means that it uses a much higher proportion of the available WSPR spectrum - again helping to reduce the chances of interference to and from other WSPR users.
A powerful feature of all WSPRlites is their ability to run synchronised with other WSPRlites. By analysing synchronous data the measurement performance is vastly improved compared to other comparison methods as all the data is from simultaneous transmissions. To facilitate synchronous use, Flexi users can manually enter the frequency that they wish to use for each unit. This facility is only available with the Flexi.
WSPRlite Flexis are all soak tested in our factory to pre-age the TXCOs. They are then individually adjusted against a Rubidium standard. With these more accurate oscillators we have been able to increase the run time to 45 days. This facility is only available with the Flexi.
The WSPRlite Flexi has no internal filtering and thus the user will need to add filtering before use. We are working on a range of options and the first is our three-band lowpass filter PCB. This is sold as a bare board allowing you to implement your own filters. We offer a range of component kits for various bands. We will be introducing some more low pass filter options early next year.

Have been using Wsprlite for a few months now. Am impressed with 200mW. Great tool for refining antennas.
Unable to get drivers to work with Windows 10, had to resort to old XP device which won't work online. This means I cannot access premium mode.
Would like to register, even if I have to pay for access to premium.
Any suggestions?

Having recently come back to amateur radio in retirement, I cannot believe the technology now available for little effort and cost. To see signal report 'spots' appearing on my 40m DXplorer map from Australia, New Zealand and the USA on the first evening of use, was simply amazing. An outstanding method of antenna analysis and all using 200mW from a box the size of a matchbox!! Many thanks!

I have completed LPF kit for 7 and 14 Mhz and tested the antenna analyzer (WSPR Flex) on those bands. I works as expected in conjuction whith my long wire antenna (22 m long) and ATU. My OTH is Sweden and my longest connections was North America and Austalia (Tasmania) on 14 MHz. I'm really astonished consider the output of 200 mW power. I really recommend this item for antenna analyzer work!

Not fully up to spec yet as the only LPFs I have usable at present are for 10m and 6m. I've run it for a couple of days on both bands but got no reports back on either. I monitored it locally just with the 857 while out mobile in the car so I know its working ok. I've now made up two of your filter boards which will give me 20, 17, 15, 12, 10 & 6. The box has been sourced and the mounting and switching arrangements are being developed.

I am now proudly owner of the new WSPRlite. The advantages are the extended frequency ranges which allow me to test all required ham bands. Now I am able to check my antennas especially the real efficiency. Furthermore I can now check what coverage the propagation allows. A very useful product.

Great product, easy to set up and results are impressive . It would be great if filtering has been included, and the ability for the software to switch bands in a schedule, but here’s for future models.

Works fine. Easy to setup. Make or get low-pass filter for band desired and get on the air. I was surprised to see that 200 mW was enough on 160 meters to reach Antarctica, over 15000 km. Just amazing. Will make more testing on other bands too. Have made LPF for 80 and 160 already. And have BPF available for 20 and 15. Planning to put more permanent installation on 30 m with some short vertical.

Great development on original. I plan to check aerials and propagation particularly, on 10 and 6, during the coming sporadic E months. With these products, you quickly find out if an aerial working without misleading 59/599 reports. Especially useful for height or space limited aerials.
