These poles are perfect for lightweight portable radio operating. They represent the optimum balance between weight and height for applications where the poles must be carried to site. Longer poles are hard to manage in many conditions.
Our 10m poles are best suited to more static portable operating such as at holiday homes, close to your car or operating from RVs or caravans.
Dimensions and weights approximate.
All our poles will support a lightweight longwire or dipole antenna with ease and are readily erected by one person. They will stand a moderate wind if properly erected. Each pole comes complete with a set of instructions and our suggestions on how they might be used.
We also supply guying kits and insulators for our poles. Click the links below for details:
Poles may differ from the pictures in colour.
These poles are also ideal as the top section for home-station vertical antennas.
A few people have purchased them for use as quad spreaders. People have also bought them to use as elements for lightweight HF yagis - six poles would make a near full-sized 3 element beam for 20/30m if attached to a suitable boom. Four poles could make a nice "Moxon Rectangle" antenna. One person bought four poles to use at the end of the elements of his 80m yagi!
We are currently unable to export this product as the shipping costs are considerably more than the poles cost

It came very quickly and was well packed. The instruction leaflet (and video on the SOTAbeam web site) are very clear and understandable. I intend to use my pole as part of a vertical for the new 472kHz band

Needed a SOTA pole in a hurry for a boating holiday, an Email ensured I had one the next day. It supported a 10 meter wire fed against water on the boat. It thrashed a few trees but survived to tell the tail. 10 watts from my 703 got me all around Europe and UK and even into the US. Super solution. Thank you.

Everyone has to have a sota pole I have two now both arrived withing 3 days and before 12:00 BONUS!
I have take one up Kinder Scout G/SP-001 twice and both time it was snowing and really windy and it survived since then I have used both of them in my garden and have survived 80mph winds with a whip on and for JOTA with a G5RV on it.

Arrived within 2 days of order well packed. Very clear easy to follow instructions. Make sure you follow the advice to practise in the garden or in a park before you climb any mountains! #
I am using my pole to support the Band Hopper II and my garden was too small to be able to guy it successfully. I had 2 attempts in the local park and am pleased that I did as the first attempt proved that you should pick a clear area with no tall weeds to tangle with. Delighted with results - very light to carry.
Definitely recommend for SOTA.
