Insertion/Extraction Tool for PowerPole® Connectors
For 15-30-45 Amp PowerPole connectors.
Note: PowerPole connectors can often be assembled without the help of this tool. With thick wires, the contact will usually click into the shell if you just push it in using the wire (after crimping or soldering the contact). This tool is more useful with thinner wires that flex more easily. However, a small flat-bladed screwdriver is often an adequate substitute insertion tool in that case - insert the screwdriver into the end of the shell alongside the wire and push on the end of the contact.
Extraction is more tricky than insertion, and we would suggest using one of these tools if you need to remove Powerpole contacts from a shell.
